Hunting for Eggs

After we ate a delicious Easter dinner, we went on an egg hunt at Nanny's.

I had so much fun finding the eggs. We left Nanny and Papaw's house and went to another egg hunt at the Stanfield Easter Reunion. I missed my nap with all the egg hunting and was absolutely exhausted by 7:00 p.m.

McKinley was too busy opening the eggs while I gathered as many as I could find. I was just excited to find eggs, but I guess McKinley knew there were yummy treats inside.

The Easter Bunny

Aunt Becky bought Kate a key to leave for the Easter Bunny. The special key lets the Easter Bunny in so he can leave the Easter basket. I'm glad she's not old enough to ask questions about our house alarm or why not use the lock box on the door!

Her favorite gift was a pink Bunny that hopped around the house with Kate today.

Dr. Katherine Stanfield

Kate became sick with virus and ran a fever last weekned. She was not a very good patient when trying to get her temperature taken. She would put her hands over her ears and and kept saying, "No Mommy, take it away"! I tried playing "doctor" to get her temperature taken, but that didn't work either. She did enjoy being Dr. Katherine Stanfield.

I decided to let Kate try McDonald's for the first time because we were near a new McDonald's I thought would be clean. She loved the fries and chocolate milk, which are her favorites. She even ate some of the hamburger. She loved getting the Sleeping Beauty tiara and insisted on wearing it while eating her lunch.

If you are familiar with Kate's recent posts of pretending to be animals then she has another one for you. This week she said she was a kangaroo hopping into the SUV and carseat.

Do you think TSA would notice me if I try to fly in this?

Kate loves playing in Miller's new crate. She plays house pretending to look out the windows and going to sleep in it. We must get her a real playhouse for her birthday!!!

Kate new favorite game is to pretend to be a baby... sometimes with corrective lenses.

She also loves playing dress up with any kind of hat or shoes available!

McKinley's Birthday

I had a great time celebrating McKinley's 3rd birthday party. We had a visit from Cookie, the horse. Mommy was a little nervous about me riding Cookie, but Daddy sat me on the saddle and off we went. I even wanted a second ride on Cookie. The video clip is not the best quality, but at the end I turned around and waved to Mommy happily as we went on another ride.
